21 груднÑ� з 1:00 по 5:00 в Семінарії Св. Софії традиційно відбулоÑ�ÑŒ Ñ�вÑ�то Різдва в Семінарії. Це Ñ�вÑ�то, з благоÑ�ловеннÑ� наших ієрархів, було започатковане декілька років тому, проте тепер вже Ñ” щорічним Ñ– відомим длÑ� вÑ�ієї Церкви. ОÑ�новою Ñ�вÑ�ткуваннÑ� Ñ�краз Ñ– Ñ” Ñ�аме Різдво та колÑ�да, тобто проÑ�лавленнÑ� Ð�овонародженого ХриÑ�та. Люди приїжджають щоб побувати на цьому Ñ�вÑ�Ñ‚Ñ– навіть цілими Ñ�ім’Ñ�ми. СемінариÑ�ти Ñ�к завжди дають підготовлений концерт колÑ�док та віншувань. Ð’ Ñ�вою чергу уÑ�Ñ– приÑ�утні люди мають також змогу колÑ�дувати та зануритиÑ�ÑŒ в РіздвÑ�ний наÑ�трій. УÑ�Ñ– приÑ�утні мають змогу познайомитиÑ�ÑŒ між Ñ�обою та пізнати блище Ñ�емінариÑ�тів. ОÑ�кільки Ñ�вÑ�то Різдво в Семінарії Ñ” проектом, то важливим елементом Ñ�вÑ�та Ñ” подарунки, Ñ�кі люди приноÑ�Ñ�Ñ‚ÑŒ разом з Ñ�обою длÑ� Ñ�емінарії, та зокрема длÑ� Ñ�емінариÑ�тів. Ці подарунки Ñ�приÑ�ÑŽÑ‚ÑŒ та допомагають подальшому навчанню та проживанню Ñ�емінариÑ�там Семінарії Св. Софії.

Чимало людей прибуло щоб відÑ�вÑ�ткувати й цього року. З різних міÑ�Ñ‚ та навіть штатів Ð�мерики люди приїхали щоб взÑ�ти учаÑ�Ñ‚ÑŒ у Ñ�вÑ�Ñ‚Ñ–. СемінариÑ�ти разом з адмініÑ�трацією Ñ�емінарії радо прийнÑ�ли гоÑ�тей та порадували не лише чудовими колÑ�дками але й Ñ�мачною перекуÑ�кою. Ð�а Ñ�вÑ�Ñ‚Ñ– також був приÑ�утній ВиÑ�окопреоÑ�вÑ�щенніший Ð�рхиєпіÑ�коп Даниїл. Ð’ Ñ�вою чергу він розповів цікаву Ñ–Ñ�торії про Ñ�аму Ñ�емінарію та про важливіÑ�Ñ‚ÑŒ Ñ�амого Ñ�вÑ�та, та подÑ�кував уÑ�ім, хто щедро відгукнувÑ�Ñ� різдвÑ�ними подарунками длÑ� Ñ�емінарії. Ð�дже й Ñ�правді, практично веÑ�ÑŒ перший поверх будинку був закладений подарунками, Ñ�кі обов’Ñ�зково пригодÑ�Ñ‚ÑŒÑ�Ñ� длÑ� вжитку Ñ�емінарії.

У�і залишили�ь з чудовими емоці�ми та на�троєм. Щиро д�куємо �рхиєпи�копу Даниїлу за його при�утні�ть, у�ім го�т�м цього �в�та за бажанн� побувати на �в�ті та порадувати �емінарії �воїми подарунками, адміні�трації �емінарії за підготовку та проведенн� �в�та, а також �емінари�там за чудову кол�ду �ка звучала того дн�.

Annual Christmas in the Seminary Held at the Spiritual Center of the Church

Christ is Born

On December 21, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, the Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary of St. Sophia traditionally held a Christmas in the Seminary celebration. This celebration, with the blessing of our hierarchs, was started several years ago, but now it is an annual and well-known event for the entire Church. The very basis of celebration is the Nativity of our Lord itself and caroling, that is, the glorification of the Newborn Christ. People come to be part of this event even with whole families. The seminarians always present to the people a concert of carols and Christmas poems-wishes. On the other hand, people can also enjoy caroling on their own and have a opportunity to dive into the Christmas mood. All guests have a great chance to meet each other and get to know the seminarians closer. Since the Christmas in the Seminary is a project, an important part of the this event is the giving gifts that people bring with them for the seminary, and in particular for the seminarians. These gifts support and assist seminarians in their further education and living in St. Sophia's Seminary.

Many people came to celebrate this year as well. From different cities and even different states of America, people came to be part of the holiday. The seminarians, along with the administration of the seminary, welcomed the guests and pleased them not only with the wonderful carols but also with a delicious snacks. His Eminence Archbishop Daniel was also present at the celebration. He told an interesting story about the seminary itself and the importance of the holiday itself, and thanked everyone who generously responded with Christmas gifts for the seminary. Indeed, the entire first floor of the house was packed with gifts that will certainly be useful for the seminary.

Everyone was left with great emotions and mood. We sincerely thank Archbishop Daniel for his presence, all the guests of this holiday for their desire to attend the holiday and present the seminary with their presents, the administration of the seminary for the preparation and holding of the event, as well as the seminarians for the wonderful Christmas carols that sounded that day.
