Summer Life at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, Parma, OH
15th annual Vacation Church School sponsored by the Youth Ministry of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, Parma, Ohio was held from Monday June 13th thru Friday, June 17th. 30 children participated daily in prayer, religious instruction, singing, arts & crafts and refreshments. Pictured are the children in front of the Cathedral, viewing the pictures in the parish Famine Room and being instructed about the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-33 and singing "Memory Eternal! Vichnaya Pamyat!" in front of the Famine monument on the Cathedral grounds.
2011 high school graduates of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, Parma, Ohio, together with clergy, left to right: Matthew Tatoczenko, Alexandra Kustich, Maksym Kostryk, Julianna Komichak. Each graduate was presented an Orthodox Study Bible from the Ukrainian Orthodox League chapter and the altar boys received plaques of recognition for their service.
On Pentecost Sunday, June 12, 2011, at the 8:30 Divine Liturgy, four children received the Holy Sacrament of First Holy Confession and Holy Communion at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Parma, Ohio.
