Christ is Among Us!

Beloved clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the United States of America,

With a spirit of pastoral care and sincere love in Christ, we wish to inform you that our spiritual father, His Eminence Metropolitan Antony, has been hospitalized and has undergone a medical procedure.

By the mercy of God, we are grateful to share that the procedure was successful. However, His Eminence remains in a local hospital in Somerset, New Jersey, where he continues to receive medical treatment under the careful observation of the medical team entrusted with his care. We give thanks to our Lord, the Physician of souls and bodies, for guiding the hands of those entrusted with his care.

At this time, we humbly call upon all clergy and faithful to keep Metropolitan Antony in fervent prayer, asking the Lord to grant him strength, healing, and a swift recovery. As Holy Scripture reminds us, “The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects” (James 5:16). In the sacred tradition of the Church, we are continually reminded that prayer is the breath of the soul and the source of divine consolation.

Let us unite our hearts and voices in prayer:

O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, You are the Physician of our souls and bodies. Visit Your servant, Metropolitan Antony, with Your mercy and compassion. Stretch forth Your healing hand and restore him to health and strength. Grant wisdom to his physicians and peace to his heart. Ease his suffering, renew his spirit, and raise him up to continue his sacred ministry in Your Holy Church. For You are the source of life and healing, and to You we give glory, together with Your Eternal Father and Your All-Holy, Good, and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

In this moment of concern, we are reminded that the Church is a living body, united in love, where “if one member suffers, all suffer together” (1 Corinthians 12:26). Let this be a time when our unity in Christ is expressed through prayer, compassion, and unwavering faith.

May the Lord grant His Eminence, Metropolitan Antony, many blessed years, restore him fully to health, and continue to strengthen him in his archpastoral ministry.

Entrusting all to the mercy and love of Christ, we remain united in prayer and hope.

З вірою і надією: Митрополит Антоній госпіталізований, Церква обʼєднана в молитві

Христос посеред нас!

Улюблені у Христі духовенство та вірні Української Православної Церкви Сполучених Штатів Америки,

З духом пастирської турботи та щирої любові у Христі повідомляємо вас, що духовний отець нашої Церкви, Його Високопреосвященство Митрополит Антоній, був госпіталізований та переніс операцію.

З Божої милості з вдячністю повідомляємо, що процедура пройшла успішно. Проте, митрополит Антоній залишається у місцевій лікарні в Сомерсеті, штат Нью-Джерзі, де перебуває під пильним наглядом та отримує необхідне лікування від медичної команди, якій доручено його опіку. З глибокою вдячністю возносимо подяку Господу - Лікарю душ і тіл - Який у Своїй безмежній милості провадив руки тих, кому було довірено його лікування, являючи Свою цілющу силу і невимовну любов.

У цей час смиренно закликаємо все духовенство та вірних піднести щирі молитви за Митрополита Антонія, просячи Господа дарувати йому силу, зцілення та швидке одужання. Як нагадує нам Святе Письмо: «Молитва праведного має велику силу» (Як. 5:16). У священному переданні Церкви ми постійно нагадуємо собі, що молитва є диханням душі та джерелом Божественної утіхи.

Об’єднаймо наші серця і голоси в молитві:

Господи Ісусе Христе, Боже наш, Ти є Лікар душ і тілес наших. Відвідай слугу Твого, Митрополита Антонія, Своєю милістю і співчуттям. Простягни Свою цілющу десницю та віднови його здоров’я і силу. Даруй мудрість його лікарям і мир його серцю. Полегши його страждання, обнови його дух і підніми його, щоб він продовжував своє святе служіння у Твоїй Церкві. Бо Ти є джерело життя і зцілення, і Тобі ми возсилаємо славу разом із Безначальним Твоїм Отцем і Пресвятим, Благим і Животворящим Твоїм Духом, нині і повсякчас, і на віки вічні. Амінь.

У цей момент занепокоєння ми також пригадуємо, що Церква є живим тілом, обʼєднаним у любові, де «коли страждає один член, з ним страждають усі» (1 Кор. 12:26). Нехай цей час стане нагодою виразити нашу єдність у Христі через молитву, співчуття та непохитну віру.

Нехай Господь дарує Його Високопреосвященству Митрополиту Антонію многії і благії літа, повністю відновить його здоров’я та зміцнить у його архіпастирському служінні.

Вручаючи все милості і любові Христовій, залишаємося єдиними у молитві та надії.
