З глибоким смутком у молитві за новоспочилого раба Божого Івана - вітчима Архієпископа Даниїла

Від імені членів Ради Митрополії Української Православної Церкви США, а також усього нашого духовенства і всіх вірних, висловлюємо наші найглибші та молитовні співчуття Архієпископу Даниїлу, його улюбленій матері Галині та братові Тарасові з приводу передчасного упокоєння, відходу до Господа Івана – відданого чоловіка і люблячого вітчима, який сьогодні після тривалої хвороби упокоївся в Господі.

Віддаємо душу новопреставленого раба Божого Івана безмежному милосердю Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, молячись, щоб Він оселив його там, де немає болю, печалі й зітхання, але життя вічне. Нехай Господь утішить серця всіх, хто в скорботі, укріпить їх надією Воскресіння та огорне родину Своїм миром і втіхою.

Вічная пам’ять у Царстві Небесному…

On behalf of the members of the Council of the Metropolia of our Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA, together with all of our clergy and faithful, we extend our deepest and most prayerful condolences to Archbishop Daniel, to his beloved mother Halyna, and to his brother Taras at the untimely falling asleep in the Lord of Ivan – a devoted husband and loving stepfather – who reposed this afternoon after a prolonged illness.

We commend Ivan’s soul to the boundless mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying that He grant him rest where there is no pain, sorrow, or sighing, but life everlasting. May the Lord console the hearts of those who mourn, strengthen them with the hope of the Resurrection, and surround the family with His peace and comfort.

I cannot express anything more beautifully than did Archbishop Daniel upon receiving the sad news of his Stepfather’s repose, which I share with all below.

Years ago, when I was still a young man, God blessed me with the precious gift of my stepfather Ivan in my life. He was not only a stepfather, but a teacher, a guide, a protector, a true FATHER, and a man of prayer. Through his wisdom, patience, and love, he helped shape my path and strengthened my faith. His presence was a quiet blessing, and his prayers were a shield around my life.

Today, as we entrust his soul to the Lord, we pray with hope - not with despair - for Christ has trampled down death by death and opened the gates of Paradise to all who love Him.

May his memory be eternal! ВІЧНА ЙОМУ ПАМʼЯТЬ!

Багато років тому, коли я був ще юнаком, Бог благословив мене дорогоцінним даром - моїм вітчимом Іваном у моєму житті. Він був не лише вітчимом, але й учителем, наставником, захисником, справжнім БАТЬКОМ і людиною молитви. Через свою мудрість, терпіння та любов він допоміг сформувати мій життєвий шлях і зміцнив мою віру. Його присутність була тихим благословенням, а його молитви - щитом над моїм життям.

Сьогодні, передаючи його душу в руки Господні, ми молимося з надією - а не з відчаєм, - бо Христос смертю смерть подолав і відкрив брами Раю для всіх, хто Його любить.
