With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Antony, who continues to recover following a major car accident, Archbishop Daniel represented the fullness of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA and Diaspora at the events of the Centennial Celebration of the UOCC.

On Saturday morning (August 12, 2018), His Eminence Archbishop Daniel concelebrated the Archpastoral Divine Liturgy with His Eminence Archbishop Job of Telmissos, the representative of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to the celebration of the Centennial of the UOCC.

In the presence of Metropolitan Yuriy, Primate of the UOCC; His Eminence Metropolitan Sotirios of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Canada and the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Ilarion of Edmonton and His Grace Bishop Andriy of the Eastern Eparchy of the UOCC, Archbishop Job and Archbishop Daniel concelebrated Memorial Litany for the reposed hierarchs, clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada throughout the past century.

Later in the day, about 350 faithful gathered for a formal jubilee banquet, at which His Eminence Archbishop Daniel delivered greeting remarks on behalf of Metropolitan Antony and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA as well as on behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Jeremiah of the Diocese of South America (Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina) and the clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Diaspora, especially of the Western European counties: Great Britain, France, Germany, Belgium.

In his greetings remarks, Vladyka Daniel reflected upon the recent celebration of 1030 years of Holy Orthodoxy in Kyivan Rus-Ukraine as well as the Centennial Celebrations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA and in Canada, making references to the profoundly rich history and traditions that have been preserved by the Ukrainian Orthodox clergy and faithful on North American continent.

The banquet concluded with the formal Centennial concert that featured Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton (conductor Orest Soltykevych), Mr. John Stetch (jazz composer), Pavlychenko Folklore Ensemble, Lastiwka Choir and Orchestra, violin player Carissa Klopoushak, Dibrova Ukrainian Folk Ensemble of Saskatoon, St. Demetrius Quartet of Toronto, etc.

On Sunday morning, the Jubilee Divine Liturgy was co-served by Metropolitan Yuriy (UOCC), Archbishop Job (Ecumenical Patriarchate), Archbishop Daniel (UOC of the USA), Bishop Ilarion (UOCC) and Bishop Andriy (UOCC) and in the presence of Metropolitan Sotirios (Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Canada) and Metropolitan-emeritus John (UOCC). In the presence of about 350 people, the prayers were offered for the well-being of the clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada.

The day concluded with a farewell luncheon, prepared by the local Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
